2. Healing by the Sea with Haiyan Survivors
March 8, 2014
In celebration of International Women's Day on March 8, 2014, Irene Chia led the Tai Chi session with Haiyan women survivors of typhoon Yolanda in Barangay Baras beach in Palo, Leyte. This activity was organized by the Women's Education, Development, Productivity and Research Organization (WEDPRO), Inc. for their Padayon sa Paglaum project. This is a ritual of healing and of taking back the courage to face the sea that had caused fear and havoc among the Palo residents.
